mysql create user & grant to specific database

connect to mysql database server


$ mysql -h10.100.12.122 -uroot -p

in mysql prompt


DROP USER 'userpoc001'@'%';

CREATE USER 'userpoc001'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY 'passwordhere';

DROP DATABASE  IF EXISTS dbpoc001;

create database IF NOT EXISTS dbpoc001;

use dbpoc001;

source /media/soa/dbgr.sql;

source /media/soa/renk.sql;

GRANT ALL ON dbpoc001.* TO userpoc001 IDENTIFIED BY 'passwordhere';

test login with new user

$ mysql -h10.100.12.122 -uuserpoc001 -p

view database


mysql> show databases;
+--------------------+
| Database           |
+--------------------+
| information_schema |
| dbpoc001           |
| test               |
+--------------------+
3 rows in set (0.00 sec)
