Setting Printer Canon Pixma IP-1300 – Linux (ubuntu/pear-os)

Pear-OS its ubuntu base distro so, with more beutiful desktop❤

with default cups intalled, so it (almost) can plug and play printers

unfortunetly my printer (canon pixma ip-1300) not default can plug and play with cups,

it need more drivers.

lucky now its easy … thanks michael-grunz

1. add ppa

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:michael-gruz/canon-stable

2. update repository

sudo apt-get update

3. install driver

sudo apt-get install cnijfilter-ip2200series

4. restart cups service

sudo service cups restart

5. in printer driver select canon-ip2200

  1. Thank you, but i got problem in step 3

    ~$ sudo apt-get install cnijfilter-ip2200series
    Reading package lists… Error!
    E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
    E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/id.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_trusty_main_i18n_Translation-en
    E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

    How to solve it?
